Meet the characters of The Damaged Series

One of my goals for The Damaged™ novelette series is to help readers truly get to know each character—not just through the events they experience, but by understanding the people they are beneath the surface.

Although each character's story is unique, their struggles share a common thread. They come from different backgrounds, branches of military service, cultures, and life experiences, yet they all carry invisible wounds. Their journeys remind us that pain does not discriminate, and neither does the need for compassion, hope, and healing.

As people, we often convince ourselves that we can live independently, keeping others at a distance. But life has a way of bringing us into contact with people from every walk of life. Whether at work, in our neighborhoods, in our churches, or within our own families, we encounter individuals whose stories are very different from our own—and whose hidden battles we may never fully see.

That's why I wanted readers to meet the characters of The Damaged™ on a deeper level. Each character dossier offers a closer look into the experiences, personalities, fears, strengths, and emotional journeys that shape who they are. My hope is that as you come to know these characters, you'll discover pieces of humanity that are familiar, challenge assumptions, deepen your empathy, and perhaps even remind you that healing often begins when we choose to understand one another.
